The great mage understands how true power lies in a perfect balance between knowing much and revealing little. Keeping his enemies at a distance through a mix of spellcasting and strategy, few ever have the chance to gaze upon their slayer.

Polinore’s Legacy, the Runefold Gauntlet, is believed to be a prototype of similar tools wielded by the Conclave today. It was born to decode the mysteries of the universe, allowing its wielder to reach into the hidden places of reality.

Basic Concepts:

  • Every spell at the palm of your hand, twice! Unlike other seekers, you keep the tricks you use for another go, as long as you have echo for it.
  • With his superb range, Pinpoint, and direct damage spells, Polinore has access to the best targeting capabilities the Conclave has to offer! It’s no use running or hiding, the liastrum always finds its mark.

Legacy tips and interactions:

  • Keep a lookout for units that can Empower your spells or alleviate your spending of echo, by reducing, avoiding, or refunding some of it, so your resources are not wasted.
  • Although more expensive, with Molech’s Augury, playing spells from your discard pile may grant you either a glimpse of the future or new tools to change the course of the battle right now.

Pitfalls:

  • Your spells are your main strength, but they depend on units on the battlefield to channel them and a steady flux of echo. Managing your resources wisely and knowing when to burst your enemies and when to bide your time are essential for any archmage worth their liastrum.
  • Spells, as powerful and capable of changing the tides of battle as they might be, do not win a war by themselves. You still need your boot-on-the-ground units to claim relics, keep some board presence, and allow you to play your channels.
