Herald Program
Official Rules and Terms of Participation
1. Purpose and Scope
The Herald Program is an official global initiative administered by Loot Studios to recognize, empower, and reward players, organizers, and community leaders who actively contribute to the growth and visibility of Malediction.
Its purpose is to establish a structured network of representatives known as Heralds who embody the game’s spirit by hosting events, building communities, and promoting creativity, inclusivity, and fair play both online and offline.
Participation in this Program is voluntary, non-contractual, and intended solely for community engagement purposes. Nothing in this document creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between the participant and Loot Studios.
2. Eligibility and Application
2.1 General Requirements
To qualify for participation, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Maintain an active presence in tabletop, wargaming, or creative communities.
- Agree to abide by these Official Rules, the Code of Conduct, and Loot Studios’ Privacy Policy.
- Not be simultaneously enrolled in other official Loot Studios programs (e.g., Playtest, Influencer, or Consultant Programs).
- Own at least two Malediction factions and possess a Carde.IO/Play Network account and an active Discord account.
- Complete a brief interview and knowledge review regarding Malediction’s rules and gameplay.
2.2 Application Process
Applicants must submit an official form via the Herald Program portal, including:
- Personal and contact details.
- Links to community activities (social media, event pages, or stores).
- Motivation statement and experience summary.
- Confirmation of knowledge of the Malediction rule set and community ethics.
Once reviewed, qualified applicants enter the Journeyman Tier, beginning a 3-month probationary period under evaluation, during which you may be not accepted after the three months have ended.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
All Heralds act as official community representatives of Malediction and must:
- Promote inclusivity, fairness, and respect within all community interactions.
- Organize or assist with at least one Malediction-related event per month.
- Submit post-event reports using the official Event Submission Form within 72 hours.
- Maintain open communication with Loot Studios’ community team.
- Represent the brand in alignment with the official tone, aesthetics, and ethical standards.
- Uphold the confidentiality of internal information or assets shared with them.
- Use Loot Studios assets (logos, imagery, kits) only for authorized purposes.
Heralds do not represent Loot Studios as employees, contractors, or agents.
4. Tier System and Progression
The Herald Program operates on a tier-based recognition system. Advancement is earned through verified participation, community leadership, and consistent reporting.

Promotions occur quarterly following validation of activity reports and performance reviews.
5. Events and Activation Guidelines
Heralds are encouraged to organize events that foster engagement and growth, including but not limited to:
- Demo Nights – introductory sessions for new players.
- Narrative Campaigns – linked story-based battles.
- Tournaments – structured competitive or casual events.
- Paint & Take Workshops – creative hobby gatherings.
- Skirmish Nights – smaller recurring match events.
- Online Activities – streams, tutorials, or community talks.
Each event must:
- Be announced at least 7 days in advance (in-store or online).
- Use official Malediction branding and assets when available.
- Include photographs, attendance count, and feedback in the Event Report.
- Use Play Network for event registration and participation tracking.
Exceptional events may be highlighted on Malediction’s official channels.
6. Reporting and Monthly Validation
- Heralds must submit reports within 72 hours after each event.
- Reports must include:
- Date, location, and participant list.
- Description of the activity and event type.
- Photos or media links.
- QR codes or UTM tracking (if applicable).
Only verified submissions count toward rewards or tier advancement. False, incomplete, or fraudulent submissions result in point loss, suspension, or removal.
7. Kits, Tokens, and Rewards
7.1 Official Kits
Loot Studios provides kits to support Heralds and stores, including:
- Store Support Kits (Demo/Starter Kits): Containing demo decks, terrain, dice, playmats, and guides for 2–8 players. Distributed to qualifying stores or Heralds who meet minimum criteria.
- Skirmish Support Kits: Prize kits for organized play nights (includes promo cards, codes, pins, patches, certificates, tokens, and seasonal rewards).
- Paint & Take Kits: Materials for painting sessions (minis, brushes, paint cups, optional paints). Stores earn points for recurring Paint & Take events.
- Herald Tier Kits: Distributed according to progression (True, Elevated, Grand) with exclusive apparel, pins, STL files, certificates, and commemorative items.
Kits are the property of Loot Studios, not for resale, and must be used exclusively for official events and community engagement.
7.2 Malediction Points
A non-transferable digital reward currency earned through participation, referrals, and achievements. Tokens may be redeemed for:
- Exclusive miniatures or alternate cards.
- Event entries or expansions.
- Access to early betas or test programs.
- Items available in the Malediction Reward Shop.
Heralds also gain 50 Malediction Points for each new customer who completes a first purchase using their Herald referral code.
7.3 Achievements and Milestones
Additional titles and physical patches are awarded for completing milestones, such as:
- First 8- or 16-player event.
- 15 Paint & Take or Skirmish Nights.
- Convention assistance or mentorship.
- 24–72 verified events (Legendary → Exalted ranks).
8. Code of Conduct
All Heralds must uphold the following standards:
- Integrity: Maintain honesty and fairness in all activities.
- Respect: Treat all players, stores, and team members with courtesy.
- Inclusivity: Ensure all events are accessible and free from discrimination.
- Representation: Refrain from political, religious, or offensive statements when representing Loot Studios.
- Compliance: Follow all event safety and local regulations.
- Professionalism: Avoid conflicts of interest, brand misrepresentation, or unauthorized sales.
- Digital Conduct: Behavior on Discord, social media, and live streams is subject to the same standards.
- Harassment Policy: Zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, or exclusionary behavior.
Violation of the Code may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Program.
9. Suspension, Hiatus, and Termination
- Hiatus: Participants may request a hiatus of up to 90 days with written notice.
- Suspension: Temporary removal for inactivity (no reports for 60 days) or rule breaches.
- Termination: Permanent removal for misconduct, fraud, or violation of confidentiality.
- Reinstatement: Possible after 3 months of consistent activity and reevaluation.
Loot Studios reserves the right to terminate or modify participation at its discretion.
10. Data Privacy and Communications
By joining the Program, participants authorize Loot Studios to collect and process data for program operation, including:
- Personal and contact details for correspondence.
- Event reports, photos, and performance metrics.
- Referral and purchase tracking data for reward validation.
Data is handled in accordance with the LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (EU), and may be deleted upon written request, though such deletion terminates participation.
Loot Studios will never request passwords or payment details through unofficial channels. All communications originate from @lootstudios.com or the official Play Network domain.
11. Additional Program Tracks
The Herald Program may include specialized tracks, including but not limited to:
- Creator Heralds: Focused on digital content and media creation.
- Convention Squad: Heralds representing Loot Studios at conventions (SPIEL, UKGE, Adepticon, Gen Con, etc.).
- Founder Pack Members: Early adopters with symbolic and legacy recognition.
Participation in these tracks grants additional rewards, recognition, or responsibilities.
12. Amendments and Governing Law
Loot Studios reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate this Program at any time, with notice provided through official communication channels.
All materials, images, and assets remain the exclusive property of Loot Studios. Participation does not confer ownership or usage rights beyond the approved scope.
These Rules are governed by the laws of Brazil, with jurisdiction in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
