Greetings!

Last week, we went over warbands and what it takes to properly form your own, we touched on the basics of deck building and requirements needed to create them. This week we will further dive into some of the tools you can utilize that will surely help you claim victory against your opponent!

Venture forth, Seeker, and learn how to navigate our play network platform, including the deck builder and share your warband creations for all to see!

Our play network not only houses our functional deck builder, but it also contains a complete and up-to-date database of the entire card library for Malediction. Whether you want to look up specific cards, create your own deck or view others’ published decks for inspiration, our play network does it all…you can even import a published deck into our official tabletop simulator mod to play and practice with!

First you will need to register an account with our network. You can do this by visiting the home page of our network and click Login. This will then bring a pop-up window that allows you to either login with an already created account or to register a new one.

Once you’ve registered, it’s time to get into the nitty gritty! You’ll be taken to the main page and notice tabs such as Cards and Decks on the top banner. These will be your main navigation points and each will take you to either our card database or deck viewing and creation page.

Card Tab: Upon clicking this tab, you’ll be greeted by a landing page that includes all of the current cards in our library along with various filtering options located on the left side. The filter function is very handy as you can search for cards with specific names, card text, echo cost or even filter for specific factions and card types!

Deck Tab: This will take you directly to the deck landing page. You’ll be able to view and filter through swarms of public decks created by our seekers, create your own personal deck which can remain private or made public and as mentioned earlier, import any public deck into our TTS mod to play with!

When viewing decks, you’ll notice some various functions that become accessible once in the deck viewing portion.

You’ll notice things like the ability to copy the TTS code by clicking the three red dots in the upper right of the view (Which later can be pasted into the TTS importer), the deck creator, title of the deck created, along with a card layout that is categorized into various sub-types. (Units, Spells, Attachments and so on)

You’re able to change the view of the deck by clicking the dropdown function on the right. You can change your deck view to use either a stack format with card images, or a more streamlined view by selecting text in the dropdown. Whichever you prefer, works just as great as the next!

Not only can you view a deck normally, but our platform also offers you the ability to view deck metrics!

By clicking and viewing metrics, you now have access to some more detailed information that can help sway the tide in battle! Information includes a cost curve chart along with a card type graph that breaks down how many units, attachments, and spells are in the deck.

Now, let’s get into the fun stuff, creating our very own deck shall we?!

While back at the main landing for the deck portion of the network, let’s click on the My Decks tab instead of the Community tab. By doing this, we will then be able to build our deck by simply clicking on the “Build Deck” button which should now have appeared. It’s like magic!

You’ll now see our deck builder landing page which is where we will craft the perfect deck for world domination!

This will be our main page when crafting the deck. Here we will be able to filter through the entire library of cards to help with our proper building. Not only that, but to the right of our builder is a current list of our deck.

To add a card to the deck, merely hover over the card and select what field to add it to. In this case, we are adding cards to the Main deck, Seeker, Legacy, Terrain and side deck fields.

You’ll notice too that when and if you add a card to the wrong field, you will see an indicator that lets us know we have cards in that area which are not qualified to be there. For example, putting a spell card in the unit field will still signal to us that something is wrong with the build and needs to be addressed prior to being able to properly save it.

Once you go through the entire process of building your deck (remember to save often!) and it meets all of the minimum requirements for deck creation, you can now navigate to the settings tab which will allow you to add notes for your deck, give it a cute name, add any tags you may want to include along with giving it an awesome deck image.

This is also where you can decide whether or not you wish your deck to be private or public for deck visibility. A private deck will not be able to be seen by others, as compared to a public deck where everyone in the network will be able to view and copy it for TTS play as well.

Once everything is saved, and you’ve clicked on that shiny save deck button. You are good to go! This should sum up everything about navigating our play network platform and deck building.

Now, go and call forth the hunger of a thousand stitched corpses onto thy enemy!

See you in the Malediction seekers!
